The Royal Equestrian Club's Grand Conference Launching Regarding International Equestrian Book Fair

Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, The Royal Equestrian Club Dubai organizes an event which is the first of its kind around the globe.

In order to announce the event officially a grand press conference was held on 18th November 2017. In the conference two major aspects of the event were highlighted, Dubai International Equestrian Book fair and Sports legal education training course.

The ceremony was attended by HE Mirza Al Sayegh, Director of the Office of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, Mustafa Ali Bin Ahmed Amshan, CEO of Royal Equestrian Club in Dubai, Saif Khalifa Matar Bin Mazina, Chairman of the Club, HE Mr. Abdulrahman Bani Yas, Director of the Leadership Development Center of the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare, Ms. Mona Al Shamsi and a number of representatives of the participating institutions.

Saif Khalifa Matar Bin Mazina, Chairman of the Royal Equestrian Club, welcomed the attendees at the beginning of the conference and wished success to this event. The club's Chief Executive Officer, Mustafa Ali Bin Ahmed Amshan, gave a detailed presentation of the events, stressing that the Royal Equestrian Club has presented great programs and acknowledgements for equestrian.

Amshan said that the Dubai International Equestrian Book Fair was inspired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

Amshan revealed that the exhibition is the first of its kind in the world with the participation of local and international sectors and aims to activate the reading initiative in the sports center for equestrian, and to spread awareness and equestrian culture through different books, such as types of laws and provisions, books on Veterinary Medicine, Poetry, History, and Literature.

Amshan pointed out that many exhibitors joined the exhibition from inside and outside the country, and we are still receiving exhibitors until December 5th.

Amshan revealed that the first topic in the sports legal education training course was entitled "Mechanisms for Resolving Disputes in Equestrian Sport", which was received by the advisor Mona Khalifa Al Shamsi. She specializes in Sports Regulations in Equestrian and is the Head of the Women's Equestrian Committee for the GCC countries. " said Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Ali Fadlallah, an advisor to the Sports Department of the General Authority for Sport. Amshan added that the third topic in" Sports Governance "is presented by the advisor Dr. Shams Al Ma'aref Bakhit, the legal advisor at the Dubai Sports Council.

Amshan announced that the participants in the course will receive certificates from the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare, Dubai Sports Council, Leadership Development Center, Emirates Equestrian Federation, National Olympic Academy, British Arab Academy for Equestrian Studies, UK.

Amshan revealed that the participants will also receive an approved certificate entitled "Certified Sports Arbitrator" from the University of Boston, United Kingdom, The Hague University of Applied Sciences Netherlands, Geneva Institute of International Law, Switzerland, Association of Legal Advisers in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Amshan thanked the sponsors, the Shadwell Farms, and the Direnz Town Stables, owned by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance. He added that the official carrier and travel agent is Al Kous Travel Company, from outside the country in the exhibition, and the scientific course, whereas the visas, tickets, hotel reservations and transportation at will provided at special prices.
The exhibition will be an opportunity for exhibitors who wanted to publish and sell their books, as well as an opportunity for general visitors to acquire Equestrian books, Veterinary Medicine, Poetry, Literature, General Sports Law books and other useful paraphernalia.

In a statement, Mirza Al Sayegh, Director of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum's Office, praised the efforts of the Royal Equestrian Club upon supporting science and knowledge, especially regarding equestrian, and that the launch of the first International Equestrian Exhibition is a unique event. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, was keen to take care of the event and overcame all difficulties with the project. Participants were invited to represent the Shadwell Stables from Britain and Ireland through a small pavilion dedicated to some publications.

He concluded that it is important to document and preserve this great history. The media has a big role to play a pivotal role in promoting this Initiative. We must draw inspiration from readers, publishers and writers who put their juice on paper.

He revealed the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum to create a museum for his horses and their achievements, where part of the museum's library will be dedicated to the publications of the exhibition and will bring all the remaining prizes and documentary films about his racing. He also said that they started the work by searching for a site to embrace the museum and requested His Highness to create a dedicated building in one of the stables to be a permanent museum similar to the initiatives launched by the Godlevin Foundation and has received great success from visitors who come to the region.
